So, from what I remember throwing barbs are trash in 1.09 mainly due to lack of weapons, but part of me feels like I have to make one now at some point due to finding these...

Yes, gambling rates are def worse pre 1.10. Rares are, well, extremely rare (lol), and uniques feel virtually impossible! I'm not sure on exact numbers, but @oli posted his findings here.

Yup. Pre-LOD is the best for gambling since Uniques, Sets, and Rares can all be gambled for with a fixed chance of 3%, 5%, and 7% respectively. Plus, the game was completely different and there aren't as many items, drop rates are a lot lower, and gold is more scarce, which means that gambling is a big and beautiful thing in early Diablo II, and having Rares be the best items in the game for pretty much every slot means that the item game is basically infinite and impactful. For sure! And yeah, exactly. I've landed some pretty sick rares and a Shako once gambling in 1.09, so keep at it! BUT I've also spent ungodly amounts of gold gambling Two handed swords and even landed a few "Patriarchs" but never once the REAL Patriarch, The Grandfather! aaarrgh Gheed is a SOB... lol.

@Manny I’m guessing you using a mod when gambling in 1.09 cause it’s not really picks to gamble a shako in that version, lol?

Haha yea that was back in the days where I was living 24/7 in galaxyz 1.09 patch. To me its more than a mod, its a canon event!

Lol all good, just wanted to clear that up cause since this is 1.09b drops thread, people might think that this is possible in vanilla 1.09b.

This was a recent Larzuk find! REALLY wish it was a Sacred Armor type but I feel it's coming one day.
