I have been looking into making simple Succulent .txt editing mods with an MPQ editor to improve skill scaling, make itemization tweaks, etc.
However, I've ran into something that really caught me by surprise: the .txt files in Succulent's Patch_D2.mpq seem to be the exact same as in vanilla 1.09b. I presume that the actual changes are encoded in the .bin files, or elsewhere?
Maybe it would just be easy to replicate Succulent's crafting and itemization changes as described if I want to, but I'm curious, is Succulent intentionally meant to be proprietary? If not, could I please know if there are any simple methods to make .txt editing easier? Maybe there's converting the .bin files or something, but I'm no good at that, and I'm not sure if that'd be disrespectful.
Thank you
