Multiplayer gaming

Anyone in to play some multiplayer games? Running alone is kinda boring.
First time for me trying this without battlenet/LAN so please write me which additional tools you got and I have to install to make this possible.

Most people are just time traveling and playing in Single Player, but if anyone does MP, you most likely won't need any tools and will just do normal TCP/IP, Port Forwarding, Firewall stuff.

Thanks for your answers gentlemen. After posting in 5 big facebook Diablo 2 groups without getting any resposne I am positively surprised to read answers. I My Lod is at the actual patch but I am open to playing older patches too. I think its not too difficult changing the patches even back.
I read somewhere that TCP/IP shown in Diablo 2 is not correct any more and doesnt match the real routers IP but I am open for trying it. If it doesnt work, there are tools which can help.
