Cactus is being completely rewritten for Linux (and FreeBSD*) in Zig/DVUI and Windows support will be completely dropped.

A lot of progress has been made today including the Cactus interface which has been completely redone! This is still a work in progress but I'm mostly happy of where it is. Cactus for Linux is also pretty much feature complete. There are two-three other things I want to implement to a basic level before entering a further polishing and refinement phase, and then I'll start working on more testing and updating all Cactus documentation. I'll eventually also release a video. PS: Notice how the icon changes between Shards that aren't running and Shards that are.

Hello all, I wanted to say that I'm happy to announce that as part of the new Cactus for Linux release, the MPQ fix will be natively included in the default Cactus Worldstones! We will never need to worry about running the MPQ fixer again or even caring about it. Even Windows users can use the Cactus Worldstones to run their game without having to care whether they are using the original 1.00/1.03/1.07 MPQs, or the 1.14d Installer MPQs. It makes sense to include this as the default and I'm not sure why I didn't think about doing this years ago, but I've included @galaxyhaxz's No CD fix for every version of the game for probably more than a decade at this point, specifically because we no longer have cd drives (for the most part) and this was preventing the game from running. The same logic applies to the MPQ fixer. Without the MPQ fix, a lot of players purchasing the game from Blizzard can not easily play versions 1.08 - 1.13d (which is 13 versions including the 1.10b (Beta 1), 1.10s (Beta 2), and 1.13a Beta. Only 1.00 - 1.07 and 1.14+ would work. I've implemented the MPQ fix for all 13 versions directly. I'm extremely excited about this and I'm steadly continuing my goal to make Diablo II so easy to play and run that it's easier to play Diablo II on Linux than on Windows. Challenge accepted. Hold my grass.

@Manny Yea it is now on Linux! It's a new feature and a Linux/Wine exclusive. You can play every version of Diablo II and Mods all at the same exact time.
