Lol. Make sure you start collecting all chipped sapphires you find so you can start making MPK rings. I believe ideal level for an FCR + MPK ring is level 8. So if you are sharing items between chars, you can leave another char that just makes rings.

Another thing to blow your mind, is that you run slower in 1.07 (vs 1.09). So if you make a new char in both versions and start running, you should feel a difference. At least that was my experience. 1.07 however has no diminishing returns for FRW charms and gear so you could get fast AF.

Last thing, when you get to act 4, I would recommend for you to kill your Merc and solo the level. If your Merc gets eaten by one of those River of Flame monsters that way corpses, it will be destroyed and cannot be revived. This is a bug which affects .07 and .08.
you can re log to get different set of mobs too.
 
Glad to see you got 1.07 going! I ended up doing the souls MF trick which gives some of the "easy" 1.07 uniques (like valk) but not the hard ones (like shako or arkaines Valor). Haven't played in a bit though.
its posable to get shako dropped form act5 pots well mf stacked.

sounds fast with command i remember it a slog fest... 65 took for ever...

ive done lk racks and there doable but halls way more consistant and you can re roll to get no monters near by. have not used the wp but i seen others use it jsut depends on what you want i guess. lk is good thow for doing chest too witch you want for runes, gems, charms, jewels as well as gold to shop with. remember that blue items are your friend...

frw gear makes it fast...

i seen people do it with out a socer just need to re roll maps alot more.

mf stack can get things like eth skulders althow if your stacking mf is really not needed i guess. can get v mage too. wall of eyes.

you can get Unique and sets and rares from Jade Ring, Garnet Ring, Coral Ring, Cobalt Ring, cube resapy thow your die trying... soj with light resist any one?
think some one had a all resist tals ammy...

charms are gg to. 5% frw sc, 6 all resist sc 19+ max damge charms think i can go to 40+ think there 12 resist sc and magic for days...i found a 2 skil 29 all resist paly shield socket with 4 sockets puts Griswold's Honor Vortex Shield to shame (Honor has a random auto mod too so gl getting 45 all...)

probly more crazy stuff. the crafts are even more insain. thow keep in mind the stail runes for crafting. jewels are rare thow so... and runes are quite rare too.

Yeah, you can get crazy weapons if you are VERY lucky with both craft and imbue. You can imbue a crafted item, then socket it at Larzuk. If I'm not mistaken, Larzuk will socket your weapon as if it was a normal items, so you'll be getting multiple sockets in it.

I remember seeing someone had a 511% ED Giant Thresher with something like 4 sockets (but I can't find the screenshot right now).
 
@Erayz Wow! Please post that screenshot if you find it. 511% ED sounds amazing. I think I am going to really really like 1.07. I love crafting and had a ton of fun getting my MPK rings. Little did I know that was just the beginning. :geek:
 
So to clear a few things up, yes, you can imbue crafted items in 1.07, but it does not keep the stats from the craft. When you imbue an item, it wipes all stats on the item and gives you a new rare item with the same base type. I tested in game and the only thing it will preserve is if it were ethereal, but you can't make ethereal crafts since it generates a new non-eth base.

Crafts can technically go above 511% ED, however the save bits for ED% are set at 9, which caps it to 511. Basically:
- 300% (Cruel)
- 200% (Grandmasters)
- 34%-67% (Lesser Craft)
- 40%-80% (Greater Craft)

For a theoretical max of 580%, which is then truncated to 511%. This is important, because runes are really hard to come by, a lesser craft only requires an Ort which is easy to get, so you can roll the lesser one many times and have a chance to overshoot the 511, making it easier to hit. Yes, it's possible to get a 20% life leech, 511% ED, 3 socket, 40% IAS Colossus Blade :P

Also, you can craft throwing potions, however they will not change to crafted quality or roll any affixes, but will keep the craft properties. They also work if brought to newer patches.

While crafts can roll the jeweler's prefix (4 sockets), due to a bug, socket affixes on crafts don't give them sockets, so Larzuk is the only way to give them sockets. Another bulleted list to organize this:

1.07 Larzuk:
- Crafts: always 3 sockets, or less if base type can't have 3
- Magic: random 1-4 sockets (as opposed to 1-2 in 1.08+)
- White: max sockets for the base (like in 1.08+)
- Rare/Set/Unique: 1 socket
 
you can get up to like 33 life steel do to a bug on blood weapons

2 poison affixes on a magic can bug and one will get added and then the other and it keeps the level required of the last one added. so you can get like 30+ poison damage level 7 or something...

there's also the any one can have 2 weapons bug too but posably might bug something out so... you can have a 2 wizspike socer...

people would being there gems from classic to 1.07 and 1.08 for crafting as was faster to get it there. 1.08 you do get more jewels but no 3 sockets and no magic only crafts but fixed the 20% fcr and deadly crafts as well as the full crafting list. but lots all rune words unless patched. p gems for crafts too in 1.08. lower odds for unique like 1in800 in stead of 1in1000. mf was broken too well sort of. its posable to afk to mf stack but you need crafts from 1.07 to do it need about 105 dr and some life replenish and some indestructible items.

i found this for tunnels guide

i dont really like that guide lots good info but not needed.

all you do is get to halls 1 tp to the top to find the square room with a armor rack and weapon rack. if there monster there i re roll the map (make a nm game exsit make a hell game) repeat. once you find a no monsters there use Telekinesis on the weapon rack and armour rack change the order will change the drops too so armour then weapon then try weapon then armour. try stand in the same spot. if you don't get consistent drops then re roll then map. that it. put on the most fcr and frw gear you can find.

for using the wp i dont no the map layout for that so cant help with that one.

might be able to use hydra and re roll armor and racks with out re setting map but w/e

1in 1000 for Unique and 1 in 800 for set

you get all your white items all the eth items you need for any other patch this way.

think racking works the same in most other patches but 1.08 has better odds so if you just want 1.07 items then look for thows and go to 1.08 for other stuff.

mf stacking will get alot of the other items in 1.08 even more so but takes alot to setup. but doable

might be able to also go to halls 2 and find the same room but i mean ok...

Oh, interesting... I swear I read it was bugged and you kept the stats from the crafted item. I also remember people discussing getting +4 to a skill tree on sorc's orbs due to this. Unless it's another mechanic I'm unaware of?

I've never heard of that. The only +4 skill thing I know about is that if you bring a pre LoD rare amulet directly to 1.10+ without first taking it to 1.07-1.09, it will bug out and can roll the same affix twice (from the classic and post classic pool) resulting in +4 skill amulets. I think all item qualities for class specific items *do* get staff-mods in 1.07 though, so you can get all resists on Herald of Zakarum and +Amazon Skill tabs on Titan's.

Yep. Crafts get all affixes in 1.07. They enabled Cruel/Godly on rares in 1.10. Rare in 1.07 are just as bad as 1.08/1.09, it's the crafts that have the good stuff. In these patches, the best magic weapons actually do more damage than rare ones. In 1.07, you can get an even better version of the 1.09 chipped sword recipe, by finding a Cruel Colossus blade of Quickness, then larzuk can put 4 sockets in it, instead of 1.09's 3 socket. 1.07 has better items all-around compared to 1.09.

Someone on the old diabloii.net had something close to it, hitting the 500% is quite rare, but 400-450% is more common. They had an Ogre Maul (iirc) with ~450% ED and 22% life steal, with 3 open sockets. Far more interesting than Grief any day!

Edit: to give a comparison with 1.10.

Best weapon craft in 1.10:
- 360% ED with 2 sockets (300% Cruel, 60% Craft, Mechanic's)
- 510% ED with 1 socket (300% Cruel, 150% Master's, 60% Craft, 1 socket from Larzuk)
