Unhandled Exception c0000005 with 1.06b Singling

Hey, it's been a while. Been busy with work and my kids. I seem to be having a problem with the newest version of Cactus, since 1.06b has now replaced 1.05b. After a fresh download, I tried to run the game, and everything works up to character creation. The game will crash as soon as I get into the realm. I tested the other worldstones, and I do not get this crash; it only happens with 1.06b if I either put singling into the overlay folder or override the worldstone directly.

Edit: For context, I am using Devuan, which is a fork of Debian. Things were working fine with the last version of Cactus while I used 1.05b singling.

Thanks for the report @Udeshi. The unhandled exception is a generic crash in Diablo II, so it could be anything. Luckily I think I know what may be the issue. I'll need to spend some time to reproduce this and/or modify some stuff and then I'll release some updated dlls that you can try again.

From doing a fresh installation of Devuan (Excalibur 6.1.1 on amd64), Cactus and the 1.06b Singling seem to be working for me. I'll see if I can make some stability improvements but atm I can't reproduce your issue.

Thanks for looking into it. I find it strange myself. I will try to reinstall Devuan to see if that fixes it after I back everything up today. If you don't mind me asking. Is there a chance I can still get a copy of 1.05b singling somewhere? I no longer have the previous version of Cactus since I can't find the microSD card I backed it up on, sadly.

Due to the way 1.06b was compiled, I had to adjust my players command strategy so it's a bit different than the players command for the other versions, there was some experimental stuff I had to do. Unfortunately you are getting hit with an edge case, but it's something I'm gonna work on stabilizing more now that I have feedback from someone affected by it. Although as you can see from my tests, I'm not able to reproduce it atm. You don't need to reinstall. Keep the same install so you can help me confirm my improvements work.

1.05b is no longer available and I'm not redistributing it anymore.

Edit: Just played with cactus a little more just now. It's actually giving me a good chuckle that 1.06b standard works fine. As soon as I touch the singling version, it doesn't like me and crashes like before. xD

Lol yea, I'm pretty sure it's my players command implementation for 1.06b. I'll message you once I have some dlls for you to play with before I release them officially.
