Hello all,
The new Cactus Drafter (Web Version) is now available in the latest Cactus Bundle and replaces the old terminal-based one. The Cactus Drafter is designed to work offline. The Moving Caravan and my home server are also hosting copies of it for convenience. Since the Cactus Drafter is the first AI generated program I'm releasing in this project, and I normally have a ban on all AI generated code in this project (at least for the main application - Cactus), I've updated the AI policy to be clear and transparent of this separation and how I'm beginning to use AI. The new policy is as follows:
However, I've decided to start using and allow AI code generation for anything that is not critical. For example, while I don't want any AI code to touch the main Cactus application, I'm fine with AI code generation for non critical tools such as the Cactus Drafter. Any tools or utilities using AI code generation will have a label mentioning that it was AI generated. Any AI generated code in this project is designed to be worked on via agents. A human shouldn't spend much time trying to understand this code. The agents will do that for you, and the human should just provide direction.
In addition, while Cactus has been and always will be an Open Source project released under a permissive license, I'm not actively looking for code contributions.I do however encourage forking, so if you are itching to make a change, feel free to make it in your own branch. Go wild!

AI Policy And Code Contributions
Cactus is made by humans for humans. Therefore all AI generated code is not allowed for the main code base. You may use AI in an ancillary capacity as you normally would use a search engine, for your own brainstorming and research.
