How can I transfer items pre-1.07?

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I recently decided to try delving through old patches using Cactus, and I'd like to be able to transfer items between characters in 1.00 (and later, 1.05b). But I don't have a system running Linux, which means I'm limited to the old 4.0.0 version of Cactus. As far as I can tell, that version doesn't come with Singling, and ATMA doesn't support versions earlier than 1.07. Is there any other way to transfer items? Or am I mistaken and there is a way to use Singling with 4.0.0? Cheers, and obligatory thanks to fearedbliss for making this tool

Hey @Kooky Kutter, Singling is part of the Cactus Bundle and it used to come with Cactus 4.0.0 but since Cactus 4.0.0 has been removed from the bundle, the application itself is the only thing distributed. You can download the latest Cactus Bundle and copy the Singling files from there. You'll need to install it using the old Cactus 4.0.0 architecture since Cactus 5.0.0 has a completely different architecture made/optimized for Linux. All of the Worldstones and files in the bundle can be used with Cactus 4.0.0, you just need to put them in the Platforms directory instead of the Core/Worldstones folder.

Note that if you transfer items from pre-1.07 to 1.10+ directly the items will change completely. I have a post about it here (and previous posts in the thread): https://www.purediablo.com/forums/threads/1-00-news-info-and-gossip.193508/page-23#post-2673343

So you can technically get +4 skill amulets, 20FCR rings, double stacked gold find affix boots, etc. Set and uniques also change according to some rules, like paladin skills become sorc skills and so on.

you have to stop by 1.07 to keep stats other patches will change stats for there patch but 1.07 keeps older stats.
items moved from classic no level to lod will get a level requirement. so if you want it no level keep it in classic up to 1.09. passed 1.09 think it vary hard are impossible to play... i guess a good challenge.

1.06 removes dupes so keep that in mind. ether have to keep items separated or just play 1.05 then move to 1.07.

No I mean the version you mentioned should be "1.05b then move to 1.07". You are fine about the other stuff regarding time traveling items forward in a specific way rather than moving an item from 1.00 directly to 1.10 for example.

well i dont think it has to be 1.05b but i mean i do want to test this somthing to make a video about. moving what items for m what patch to what patch what happens.

we know some stuff like patch 1.06 removed dupes and 1.07 save older patch stats but what about the other patches? this is why having a full list of items per patch to find what patch chaged what items and do they change the item or not.

moving rares from on patch was forward can change stats that is know en too but also what patches...

i also know about stash and innovatory saves items differently so one patch might remove it from innovatory but keeps items if in stash too...

test and info i see any way...

i guess the raven claw level 33 is also known. i seen a pickaxee with like 12x to blind i think but maybe that was atma...

someone on pure diablo did do a big rare test but its forbidden to be talked about over there as there rules are move items from patch to patch not skipping.
