Hello everyone, I've been playing 1.05 with a bowazon.

Does Crushing blow work with bows/crossbows?

and is MF worth it? with how rare drops are maybe not.
 
Crushing Blow doesn't work on ranged weapons from what I know and it only works on white monsters in prelod. MF is worth it but I wouldn't prioritize it. It also only works on White monsters. Survivability is more important than MF. Prelod is a patch where you make due with what you got and you will be relying more on RNG and patience (and strategy) rather than target farming since you can't really target farm in prelod due to bosses not having dedicated and good drop tables, those were introduced in 1.09 LOD.

Interesting. I’ve been doing chaos runs for about three days now. Only found like 5 rare items lol
 
Lol yea drop rates are a lot lower than LOD 1.09+. Even LOD 1.07 and 1.08 had lower drop rates ;). You’ll want to take advantage of gambling since that’s one of the main ways to also get gear in prelod.

Also, In 1.05 does the pierce and magic arrow thing work where it will go back and forth through an enemy? I have never seen magic arrow pierce.
 
That’s more of a 1.07-1.09 thing from my knowledge. Things like Buriza didn’t exist prelod. Although there may be some limited piercing potentially due to the Pierce skill, but normally you don’t even need the pierce skill, you just need an item with piercing.
 
there was some big post i read somewhere about piercing from skill, weapon and belt...and they were all different...something about this game and the liying info...

a master skills and patch notes per patch be nice haha
there was stuff to that was online only too...
 
Yea that’s correct @thrasher_565. There are different degrees of piercing on things like Razortail and Buriza. So the “Piercing Attack” value is different. Similar to how in prelod Fast Cast Rate on different pieces of gear are not necessarily the same value.
 
The piercing behavior is primarily for 1.09 (and probably 1.07/1.08 have it as well). I don't believe the Guided Arrow + Piercing "bug" exists in prelod.
 
I think pierce is broken in 1.05. the lvl 30 cold skill is nice. I need mana though. strafe is a good mana regen with mana leech.
