Hello all,

Santa has arrived a little early this year and I'm proud to announce that Cactus now has Automatic Backup support! Backups will now be automatically taken when you close your last Diablo II process by default. You can disable this functionality by going into the Settings and unselecting "Automatic Backups". This is also documented here. I hope many of you find enjoyment for this feature and provides some extra safety for your beautiful and lovely characters across all Sanctuary versions.

I would also like to clarify/adjust the supported versions for Cactus. Development and testing of Cactus happens on Windows 10 22H2 x64, which is also the maximum supported version of Windows that I'm officially supporting. Windows 7 is the minimum supported version but I'm not actively testing on it. However, a regression on that version will be considered a bug. Windows 11 is still not supported and never will be.

You can find Cactus in the Resource Manager or by visiting the Cactus Page. I'll also need to update my GPG key which has expired. So I'll publish the signature for the DIGEST file at a later date.

@Manny No need to redownload. The PGP key is my identity online so you can verify it was actually me that created and distributed the files by downloading my public key and verifying the signature. Most people don’t check that but it’s there if needed.
