There may be more legitimate ways of looking up your map seed in LoD, but I use ATMA for muling and it has a character info pane that shows you the seed. Just an FYI!

I agree with your take regarding Runewords changing the game too much in 1.10 and beyond. I primarily play 1.09 which does have several Runewords but they are generally pretty weak compared to the elite uniques and other sought after items. Besides my Melody staff which I use to boost Energy...
