How to fix no music in the main menu

I was wondering why all of a sudden the music in the main menu just stopped working for all of my versions.. it turns out that "Ctrl + M" actually mutes and unmutes the sound for the main menu (In game music still works with the in game sound settings). It looks like you do learn something new everyday.

Nice catch Bliss. I was aware of this one, but also love how there's always something new we can learn about this old game. FYI, CTRL+M also works in StarCraft and Warcraft 3 with the same result. Actually, in those games CTRL+S was also a command that would mute all sounds, including the music. I remember being puzzled that D2 didn't include that one as it was released well after the original StarCraft. I guess they felt the big slider in Options was enough.

Oh, that is a god send! I often watch something else whilst doing something boring like farming. It was annoying when I had in game sound turned down but the menu music blared out, now I can mute it! Yay!

Lol nice Manny, I'm always learning something new everyday . That's cool that those hotkeys are shared with some other older Blizzard titles. I read in the pre lod patch notes (that you can do 'scrollhack1' and 'scrollhack2'). These were removed though in 1.04. Which reminds me of the cheat codes in SC ;D (power overwhelming, black sheep wall, greed is good, operation cwal) ;D.
