Sunday Morning Escapades on TCP/IP (1.09b)

Post by Manny »

Hey all,

I'll be using this thread to organize Sunday morning LAN sessions on 1.09b. Other days/times may follow if it's feasible, and there is enough interest.

Please note that in order to join the party you will need the following:

1.) A valid installation of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction on patch 1.09b with *ONLY* Singling installed. No other mods are permitted.
2.) Radmin VPN installed for joining the private server: https://www.radmin-vpn.com.
3.) A high-speed cable or fiber internet connection.

In case you're wondering, I am located on the US East Coast (Florida). However, you don't necessarily need to be on the East Coast to have a great experience. I've tested this set-up with a buddy who is thousands of miles away in Peru, and the game runs flawlessly with incredibly low ping and minimal delays of any sort. Of course this is highly dependent on your internet speeds/bandwidth, and the occasional random hiccup or lag spike is normal and to be expected (just as it was on classic battle.net all those years ago).

If you wish to join, please DM me on the forum to request the specific IP details you will need!

Removed the mod 'Alpaca' from the original post as I no longer use or recommend it.

Nice ;). That's also the combo I recommend and use as well. D2 + Singling. Cactus can be used to open multiple copies of D2 and use mules through TCP/IP to essentially get an "Extended Stash".. aka just classic traditional D2 muling haha.

@fearedbliss

Indeed! I did quite a bit of muling like that yesterday and it was awesome. Felt just like the good ole days, except better without any bnet lag, and I could create as many mules as needed and with any names I wanted! :D
