Hello everyone,
I’m happy and excited to announce the release of Succulent 2023-11-22-2000! This is a major change and also a breaking change. However, it will be worth it. I’ve taken the input of the community and have reverted the expanded stash for both Classic and Expansion. This should allow you to use muling applications if you so desire. However, I’m not guaranteeing compatibility, but will take this into account moving forward. So make sure that you move all of your items to the original game boundaries before migrating or you will lose those items.
More importantly, there have been many other fundamental improvements done to the affix system. As you all know, I’m a huge fan of RNG and Rare items and I’ve been working on improving the Rare item generation in the game, since 1.09b’s rare item generation system is not that good. With my new system, the affix system is fully unlocked and any item in the game can spawn any affix. This means any weapon, armor, ring, amulet, jewel, and charm (of any size) can get any affix (at least theoretically speaking
). To make things even better, Grand Charms can now spawn as Rare Items! The full patch notes can be read below.
As always, you can download the latest version from the Succulent page. To install, just replace the Succulent platform in your Platforms folder with the new one, click \"Reset\", and Launch.
I’ve said before in another post that I normally don’t play my own mods because I’m just too close to them, but I think this is the patch that will finally change that. I’ll see you in Sanctuary!

This is a breaking change primarily because the stash size is returning back to Vanilla. If you are an existing player, please move your items within the original game boundaries or you will loose items during the migration. If you like using muling applications, then this change should help retain compatibility with them. However, I’m not guaranteeing compatibility with external applications since Succulent is an independent mod, and I want people to use as little external tools as possible in order to increase game stability and easier maintenance. With that said, here are the patch notes:
- The game stash sizes are now back to Vanilla for both Classic and Expansion.
- The Expansion Whirlwind skill is now back to Vanilla.
- The Expansion Static Field skill is now back to Vanilla.
- Vendor repair costs are now back to Vanilla.
- The rerolling Magic item recipe now also requires a Stamina Potion.
- The rerolling Rare item recipe now also requires an Antidote Potion.
- The skip introduction cinematics fix has been re-written. It will now skip the intros but still show the initial trademark screen.
- Grand Charms can now spawn as Rare items.
- The Affix system is now fully unlocked for all items in the game. This means that any affix can spawn on any item, including weapons, armors, rings, amulets, charms (of any size), and jewels. An affix can spawn on any item even if it doesn’t make sense. Leveraging the full power of the RNG. There are no restrictions. The possibilities are endless.
- Rarity levels for all items are back to Vanilla.
